Recently Salmo announced they will be expanding their brand
awareness efforts on television, in radio and at consumer sport shows
for 2008 by linking with noted outdoor personalities and communicators
Mike Avery and Mark Romanack.

An idea to arrange Second Salmo Workshop focused on seatrout was born in Peter Piskorski’s head in the beginning of December. We were planning to organize this event in mid January, however strong winter forced us to change our plans. The weather forecast for the last week of February was not very good but due to tight schedule of business trips that was the only free slot so we have decided to give it a try.

During the EFTTEX in Warsaw our distributor in Hungary and Romania - Energofish Ltd. - has invited us to participate in their Salmo Cup pike competition. It has been already fourth edition therefore we have decided to accept invitation and to visit the legendary Transylvania. The main goal however was to promote jerkbait fishing which is not popular either in Hungary or in Romania. This time the Salmo Team has consisted of Piotr and the author of this text.

Between 13 and 25.08.2005, upon invitation of AWC Distributing - SALMO USA, we have had another chance to test our lures in the North American waters, fishing together with well known figures of the American angling market.

Two lucky fishermen reeled in $20,000 with a triple catch of a 39½”, 36” and a 47¼” muskies, totaling 173 points, to claim first place in the 2005, 18th Annual Salmo Hodag Muskie Challenge.
