On the 27th of September 2008 was placed first in Belarus fishing festival and spinning competition with Salmo lures. There were take part in it around 70 anglers. The largest fish was pike over 2kg caught by Oleg Lalkowski. The winner was Wladimir Kostenewicz, who caught in total 13 of perch and 3 pikes. Next competition is going to be this year. |

With all of the tools available now to the modern walleye angler, one of the oldest and most effective tools for catching walleye on rivers early in the year continues to be a good anchor. What surprises me is how many fishing rigs don't even have anchors or at least anchors that can properly hold a boat in moderate current. I spend a good amount of time each spring anchoring on the rivers I fish and to this day, I can't find anything as effective as sitting on top of a good spot. |

WEST POINT- Local angler Todd Consbruck and John McAllister from Oyens, IA took home third place on the 2008 Nebraska Walleye Association (NWA) tournament trail. The third place finish should earn McAllister and Consbruck an invitation to the 2009 Cabela's National Team Championship which will be held in 2009 at an as yet undetermined location. This is the third time in three attempts that Consbruck has qualified for the nationally televised tournament. |

On 9-14 October 2007 the first World Championship in Boat Lure Predatory Fishing was held. The place of angling combat was the Volga River near Saratov in Russia. 30 anglers from 6 countries took part in the competition, including Salmo Hungary team - Adrián Kovács and Lukácsi Béla...

This year on 15 - 17 June the Salmo Company traditionally presented its products on 26th international trade of fishing tackle EFTTEX 2007. This year's exhibition took place in Prague and was 26th edition of this event. For Salmo it was 11th trade in a row.
