Salmo Fanatic

Throw your Fanatic into water and you will see a small, disoriented, frightened fish trying to escape its fate. Despite desperate efforts it’s unable to hide in the depths. It can only swim near the surface and its delicate, snake-like action will not remain unnoticed. Make sure your line is thin and strong – that’s how the Fanatic fishes best! Remember to adjust your drag, you’ll need it!

How to fish with Salmo Fanatic

The Fanatic will get takes from the craftiest trophy fish but those takes can de delicate so use sensitive tackle. It is best used in shallow water (0.5 – 2m), and the most reliable results come from a very slow retrieve combined with occasional twitches.
The Fanatic can be used for trolling, with or without additional weight. Any weight should be used on a paternoster link and no closer than 0.8m in front of the lure. When using extra weight you obviously need a heavier rod and we recommend braided line of 0.08 mm diameter for trolling, such a set-up means that the fish usually set the hook themselves.
